Re: SourceForge.net project ("Munt")

Hunterz: Thanks for letting me know, I'll investigate that. This is the first time I've had someone complain about Munt *not* crashing :) There's no disadvantage in keeping "mixed Adlib/MIDI mode" enabled all the time, unless you want the authentic experience of having an MT-32 with no Adlib card :) …

Re: SourceForge.net project ("Munt")

Srecko: Thanks, I'll take a look into those when my MT-32 arrives for comparison. Hunterz: Perhaps you need to enable "Mixed Adlib/MIDI" mode to hear the crashing sound - it might be Adlib-only. Please let me know if that works for you. Regarding synchronising Munt and ScummVM: The code in ScummVM …

Re: SourceForge.net project ("Munt")

Srecko, the advantage is more accurate emulation. I'm using data from the ROM such as the PCM tuning which was previously based on not-really-accurate analysis. I don't see that requiring two such ROMs is significantly worse than requiring one.

Re: SourceForge.net project ("Munt")

Releasing binaries (and source tarballs) is a high priority for me, but I want to do some further testing first. The first person to test the new Windows driver (Canadacow, actually) was rendered half deaf, so I think people will appreciate me ironing out the remaining buglets before release :) I'm …

Re: SourceForge.net project ("Munt")

The microcontroller ROM controls the frontpanel (setting the LCD display and handling button presses) and the LA synth chip, and deals with MIDI events. It's pretty much in charge of the whole show; your CM-500 will certainly have one, though it's likely very different. The code in the ROM is not …

SourceForge.net project ("Munt")

I started a SourceForget.net project for the MT-32 emulator some time ago, and finally got around to committing some code to it. The project is here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/munt/ This is based on Canadacow's latest version, with quite extensive changes.

Re: Development status

Sorry, I should have been clearer... I took the DirectX interfacing code from canadacow's original Windows driver, and I combined it with the core of your Linux drivers (based on the latest DOSBox-integrated version). I fixed a lot of bugs while I was at it. It seems to work more or less as it …

Re: Development status

I just put together a mongrel hybrid of canadacow's Windows driver and Tristan's ALSA driver (the latter of which was in turn based on the latest published DOSBox version). It's got a lot of problems, but I've managed to play the Monkey Island 2 introduction through ScummVM with serious damage to …

Development status

I have a few questions about the current status of development: 1) The Windows driver seems to be lagging behind the DOSBox-integrated version, is that correct? 2) It is not currently possible (based on my own experience and forum postings) to play ScummVM games in native MT32 mode and have the …
