As moturimi just mentioned, I've made some changed to the MT-32 emulation in ScummVM. It's now in sync with Munt's CVS, so it's the latest and greatest. The MT-32 has 8 melodic "Parts" , and a rhythm part. Each of these parts is mapped to a MIDI channel. By default the parts are mapped to MIDI channels 2 to 10 (with 10 being rhythm). Here are my best guesses: IC2 and IC3: PCM ROMs. IC44: Reverb ROM The microcontroller is under that SC daughterboard, I think, so I'm not entirely sure where the control ROM(s) are. The one with the CM-500 sticker on it is a likely candidate, as you said.

The typical method of dumping the ROMs is to desolder them (unless you're lucky enough to have them socketed) and use an EPROM programmer to read the data from them. Neither the MT-32 nor CM-32L have these ROMs stamped with the name of the device (they just have "Roland" and the part number), but it's entirely possible they did this on the CM-500.
