This is a weird one. I just tried it with fully patched (ykhwong's) build. First I started it with ET4000 256 color driver and got exactly the same b/w picture. Well, the game is for Win3.x, so maybe that VGA refers to Windows driver... I switched to plain VGA -- same effect plus the desktop was …

SDL is responsible for the dosbox soundoutput. (midi is handled by dosbox though) so check other SDL games to see if they work

uhm don't press any movement keys during the introduction the vga patch adds a (during the intro) a broken keyboard handler try to find out if it's a bug in dosbox or one of the experimental patches.

D-Fend has. BTW the next version of dosbox doesn't need loadifx for WCA (unfortunate that didn't fix wc2 lvl2) (and doesn't need ems off either).

or install the game in c:\turrican\ It looks there by default. (it looks for c:\turrican\turrican.cfg)

Mysql seems to be down a lot lately. Can't really do a thing about it. The dosbox website might benefit from a part that doesn't come from a database.
