Well there are 2 possibilites: 1. your copy of worms is weird (unlikely) 2. libsdl and X aren't talking the same language. why these 2. If a game works in dosbox then your hardware is not relevant. dosbox emulates everything. dosbox inturn outputs its own graphics to SDL which does it to X So either …

this has been fixed as far as i know (a few days ago.) At least the isue that the mouse pointer can not be used. for the meanwhile try configuring the game to use pcspeaker for sound as it happends with soundblaster only. But it's fixed.

dosbox comes with a configfile. (dosbox.conf) there you can disable the memory manager needed. (look under [dos]) I'm not sure if U7 is totally stable in 0.60. It may have issues with saving/loading. Wait for the next version to have to those solved. else run with high cycles. Seems to help But this …

Alone in the dark 1 doesn't work with version 0.60 try 0.58 as it worked there.

Just thought I'd mention that this game will be supported in the next version of ScummVM. If you can't wait, the latest CVS build should support it, although there is apparently no music and minor graphical glitches. Worth a try. Te te te :) Oh well I suggest playing it in dosbox I finished it …
