or you could use dosbox. See my signature for the link. The only drawback is that the start/loading screen takes a while to pass ( 2 minutes i recall)

Oh well To get a good picture many more things matter than only the cpu speed. To get a good idea you need almost everything and profile the bineary to find the bottlenecks. 😉

As usual system requirements on cpu speeds are always a guess. It just depends on which game you try to run and which features it uses from the emulation. Just try it but don't complain if it appears to be slow 😀

when dosbox is running as a prompt it consumes full "screen rendering power" but no cpu cycles so increasing the cycles doesn't matter. (only more dosbox prompts with frameskip) The power of dosbox in this case is that dosbox redraws the screen(which involves massive calculation while in textmode) …
