Re: Minor mouse issue with "Armored Fist".

Looks like we're using the same version. I've tried again and looks like the problem was exacerbated on the mission I was playing when I first posted (remember, white background). Still, you're right about the mouse pointer blinking like crazy, and not only in that screen, it also happens ingame too …

Minor mouse issue with "Armored Fist".

Hi there. I've been playing NovaLogic's "Armored Fist" with v0.70 (didn't bother with previous versions because it was too slow on my PC) and the game works fine save for one relatively minor issue. When pressing ESC during the action the player is sent to a tactical screen / map, when he can see …

Re: Dosbox 0.70 is out!

My impressions were with a cracked version of "Screamer". I think your problem is that the CD-ROM is not detected properly and the game thinks it's a copy. Make sure the label of the CD is correct, some DOS games checked that. If that doesn't work, there are several methods to mount a CD under …

Re: Dosbox 0.70 is out!

Looks like a different problem altogether, this setup program has trouble detecting your cards, it's not hanging. Are you using automatic detection? It does weird things with DOSBox, I guess because DOSBox emulates several cards at the time. Try to configure the driver manually, using these settings …

Re: DOSBox on Vista?

Don't be sorry, I didn't mean to sound disrespectful. Had I started to use computers a few years later I wouldn't have a clue about DOS commands either, it's an obsolete system after all we're talking here. A launcher is not a separate emulator, but a complement to DOSBox that does all the typing …

Re: Dosbox 0.70 is out!

Forgot to mention, I finally solved my issues with "Screamer". Had nothing to do with DOSBox, just a badly ripped copy. It works as well, if not better, than in a real Pentium with DOS: http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/4123/starth001ow3.th.png http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/5719/starth000uv1. …

Problem with some sound setup programs under v0.70.

I'm afraid I've found some serious trouble with DOSBox v0.70: Some sound setup programs don't seem to like it. With both "Indycar Racing" and "Rally Championship" I've had to configure the sound drivers running the INSTALL / SETUP programs through VDMS. The programs seem to work at first under …

Re: Dosbox 0.70 is out!

More testing: Today I tried the entire "Screamer" series, pluanother personal favourite, Europress' "Rally Championship": - Screamer I: Didn't work, but I think it's my copy of the game which is wrong. - Screamer II: Works great, even in SVGA mode. - Screamer Rally: Woorks great, even in SVGA mode, …

Re: dosbox 0.70

So far the only game I've tried that doesn't seem to like the auto cycles is "F-15 Strike Eagle III". I use this auto options with the rest of my games and I like it a lot.

Re: Dosbox 0.70 is out!

More testing! Tonight I installed Windows 3.11 + some other Windows stuff. The install method was simple, I mounted both an empty folder as C: and a folder containing the Windows installation files plus the other stuff I tried as D: Here are my impressions: Windows 3.11 --> Works flawlessly, even …

Re: Terminator Games in 0.70

I played "Terminator - Rampage" and "Skynet" on v0.65. "Rampage" worked fine if slowly, and "Skynet" was playable in VGA mode at 15,000 cycles. SVGA did not work, as it doesn't either on v.70. The problem Hazekel has with "Skynet" is probably a folder issue, the game has a INSTALL.DAT file that …

Re: Dosbox 0.70 is out!

Alright, for those interested, I finally got both "Indycar Racing II" and "Nascar Racing 2" working with latest DBGL (v0.55). These games worked from the DOSBox prompt but not through DBGL until I learned what's wrong with them. See, when you enter the executable path on DBGL, it mounts that folder …
