OEM Proprietary DTK were rock solid through 1991, (albeit sometimes rather slow lacking cache) Never saw a 486 DTK let alone socket 7 so can’t comment, I do know that I had issues moving a 386sx25 DTK Board into another case as nothing lined up but again can’t comment on a socket 7

All my Cyrix chips were ibm branded and that one appears to be missing a line of text I would fire it up on a super 7 board with a low voltage, multipler and bus and see if you can run any diagnostics, earlier chips didn’t have any cpuid but still worth a try.

Minimum timing is 100ns for 10MHz 286, 12MHz to 25MHz means 80ns. The 200ns to 120ns were appropriate for 8088/8086 boards. Get another set of memory at least 80ns for your 386, but 486 really prefers 70ns for best timings. Cheers, Fast 286s were sold with 100ns RAM, they just used wait states, …

I have had an 8088-6 chugging along at 4.77mhz in one of my IBM 5150’s for a long time. From what I can tell 6mhz that parts were made before 1982 but what machines(if any) used the 8088/8087-6 chips at rated speed? Thanks

If your board supports 75mhz FSB you could try an overclock to 225 and see if anything blows up
