Slight update. Reflowed what i could reach and cleaned the board thoroughly, previous owner left tons of flux. And I now have a picture, well sort of: Both analogue and digital looks the same =/

My trusty 'ol ASUS T2P4 rev 3.1 supports CDROM boot. And a quick search suggests it was available from launch and it was released in late 1996. I dont think it was a common feature tho as most OS installs didn't support it until a few years later.

Well no dice. Mobo post beeps but no monitor signal. Card has been "repaired" by some previous owner tho so I guess its time to redo all that. Or maby just bin it. Dunno if its worth spending a lot of time on, even if it seems to be a somewhat rare card.

So I modded the Dallas clock with an external battery and everything seems sorted. It now correctly autodetects the "massive" 52MB HDD.
