What if you try without ram? Will it beep then? I had an issue worth an Intel 815 board. Powered on, but nothing. Removing ram made it beep, though. It was three cpu,c that was dead. Another cpu and everything worked ...

At 768MB Win2K is definitely the sweet spot. Its the one I would run, XP SP1 should also be ok with 768Mb but SP3 would likely start thrashing a bit. Could just use a Sata SSD with adapter ... then I bet even Vista and 7 would be fine with 768Mb as the SSD would take up some of the slack with a …

The BP6 maxes out at 768 MiB, no doubt. It has 3 memory slots, and being a BX, maximum pr slot is 256 - and the memory organization has to be right for the BX to recognize all 256 and not only half. Yes, it will do 333Mhz at 66 x 5. I did get it to post at 366 (66 x 5.5) and 400 (66 x 6) as well, but haven't done any detailed testing of those configurations. Very, very interesting. I'm considering making a Frankenstein PII 500 at 5x100, using TAG and cache from a faster P!!! just for the hell …

Does fdisk sees the drives or not ? ie can you select the drives in fdisk ? I can't .. Can you try loading aspi8DOS.sys and aspidisk.sys from config.sys and then see if fdisk allows you to select the disks ? You're challenging my talents now :lol: Is there a tutorial?
