Yes, The X800 will work in windows 98 with the Catalyst 6.2 drivers. Couldn't get crossfire working though.

@NarakuITA I see you've got a riser slot at SL1, so you could potentially get some PCI/ISA risers, but no information on the riser cards it accepts in the manual. Might need to look into that.

I was wondering, does anyone know of any Virtual CD/DVD software that used VXD drivers in Win98? I ask because I would like to use CD audio for DOS games. I know there is daemon tools 3.47 for Win98, but that uses a WDM driver for it's drive emulation and not VXD, so it doesn't work for DOS games. …

@Sudos If you're using daemon tools to mount an ISO image, it's a known issue that CD audio won't work in DOS games. Unless you use WDM drivers, then CD audio will work. Using WDM drivers entirely defeats the purpose of using an ISA sound card though, as all WDM drivers use a crappy sbemul.sys file …

I do have the driver CD for the gigabyte 6600GT. Never thought to upload it as the drivers are already online. I know The 6000 series does support windows 98. I forget which version added support, last 81.98 should work. There was no 76.45 version for 98 as far as I can tell though.

I'm not sure if the driver version you're referring to ever existed for windows 98, it may have been an XP only thing. https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/drivers/win9x-archive/

@digger There are NVMe drivers available for XP. You can find them with George King's XP2ESD project, or as part of REMOVED No NVMe for Win9x though.

@Deksor rloew did write an AHCI driver for both DOS and Win9x for the more modern SATA3 controllers that use the AHCI protocol pretty much exclusively at this point, with the sole exception of a PCIE JMicron card that can be flashed back to IDE mode. I would say that rloew's AHCI drivers is reliable …

Sounds like the DOS version used a lower sample rate for the audio. The blinking cursor seems to not be blinking all that much. How does the version on REMOVED compare?

Ah I see, OK. I see the MSI B450M-A PRO MAX uses LPC for TPM. But from rasteri's testing AMD boards might not work? is that right?
