Once I was looking for a game for ages. I ended up watching random dos game compilations and it randomly appeared in one of them. Might be a time consuming way to do it, but if all else fails.

I have always run AGP cards on SS7, including S3 Virge and Voodoo3....never experiencing any instability. They aren't PCChips boards though.

Replace 7 with Vista and 2009 with 2007 and it will still be mostly true.

They don't exist. Win10 is still based on the underlying driver/display model that Vista introduced (along with DX10). Thats why XP is the last retro era.

Basic AWE64s are pretty cheap, but to make them useful you really need a SIMMconn RAM expander which are not cheap at all.

Sensaura works best with surround speakers I think. It's A3D that works best with headphones.

Voodoo2 with matrox was considered a pretty ultimate configuration at the time. Maybe AWE32 for sound and a k6 processor. No-one was running 486s in 1997.
