Any source for the -5V version on Ebay? I see the chinese ATX/AT converter for $3 but can't find this.

My guess is that adding people who are not even retro computer hobbyists to the pool of people who want to get these parts (and even more so to sell at a higher price later) are the worst reason why this is getting so expensive now. And that's why it's smart to cut these guys out of the loop …

Post good quality pictures of the board. Scrappers and postal workers throw these things around all the time so most of them are scratched up and have broken traces.

Videoton Hungary in the 80's. They lacked the resources western companies had but still developed quality personal computers and even kept up with IBM. Most of these computers (especially the VT-models) are super rare now.

I tried plenty of RAM configurations but this mistery will only get solved once I get my hands on a slot1 CPU with 66 Mhz FSB. Most people sell the 100 Mhz versions though so it's not going to be anytime soon.

Well, I tried all the BIOS versions (6ltm0619, 6ltm0B22, 6ltm2407, 6ltm2720) that were available but none of them worked. I used 5 different ROM chips and 2 CPUs but couldn't get past 00C1. Diagnostic card shows CLK but no IRDY or FRAME activity.

Thank you, that cIeared things up. I have the "H" version so it means that it won't support the 400/66. The question is, which BIOS version will?

Man, I just hate how much the world changed in 30 years. The creators of Street rod actually required owners to make a copy of their disks to preserve the originals in good condition. I can't even rip a DVD legally now with all the DRM protections in place.

I am just going to count this has a loss and move on. And as a result they'll do this to the next customer as well. Asking for a full refund is almost mandatory in this case even if it was sold as "crap". That will show them to package their stuff properly next time or face the consequences again. …

It's weird how often I miss obvious signs of malfunctions: touching pins, broken traces, burned parts, cracked plastics, missing jumpers. "I've checked that thing at least 50 times, how could I miss that?!" Happens more than I'd like to admit.
