Finished setting up my "secret" retro rig. I have been playing on this alot recently but it was all temporary with wires everywhere and meaning I could not use the closet for its actual purpose 😀 The only con (or is it a pro?) Is that I must stand to play.

Nothing exciting, but something very helpful. I am slowly trying to convert all of my retro PCs to have CF on these PCI brackets as the easy access to transfer files is a gamechanger.

I dont know the rules about posting videos here, but search for "linus tech tips data recovery" on youtube. They tour a company that do this and you can see why it is not a DiY job when its important.

OP has already said they tried it in other PCs. I agree with the heat issue. potentially point a fan at the ram chips and see if it can delay the problem?

Socket 370 cooler arrived. Much easier fit than the original compaq part. Once that machine is set up all 6 of my machines will be "finished" if there is ever such a thing in this hobby 😀
