Got a couple of ASUS 802.11b/g PCI adapters. Now my Pentium 3 PC (Win98&XP) is connected to the Internet. And it no longer feels like some ancient device I rarely touch, but rather one more "tool" to get some things done.

DOOM. Reason: Rip and tear is from some comic, not present in the original games for me. So all that "you must kill demons doomslayer" thing feels irritating unlike relative freedom of choice you had in the original games.

Intel HD is based on AC97, but isn't backward-compatible. There might be special drivers which allow to use it in DOS, but unfortunately I don't have any information about them.

So if I connect my Win98 computer to Internet, it will become infected right away? I always thought today's malware only works on Windows 7-8-10 (NT based) and will simply not run on Win98 which is not interesting to attackers anymore...

No, but really want to -- even with my main PC (Win10) Too bad I don't have a room for it. After using big LCD screens I don't think I'll be able to use anything smaller than 22 inches (like SyncMaster or Sony CPD) and Mitsubishi Diamonds are expensive.
