Technically, the one with the reference plane is better, but in the case of the V2 it doesn't matter, the SLI interface is already dumbed down in the driver to work with the shitty cable. The FBI hsync plane is an import error, there is only a ground plane in the eagle files. The GND vias aren't needed, there is a continuous ground plane on the other layer tied to the connector GND pins. Not using vias also looks way better as there are no holes in the logo. The logo is not on the silkscreen, it's on the soldermask layer. It's basically a cutout exposing the gold plated copper.

There is a ground plane on the top layer, where the 3dfx logo is (you can check in the gerber files using gerbv). Kicad sometimes has problems importing polygons from eagle.

That's weird, what kicad version are you using? Also, what have you tried importing? Vogons says that V2_SLI_BRIDGE_V1A_V2A_SCH_PCB.zip has been downloaded 0 times (not sure how accurate this is). The other 2 archives only contain the gerber files.

Connectors are 9134-4500PL (black). Gerber files attached for both versions. Use ENIG finish for that bling logo and matte black soldermask. I'll upload the editable project later today. There are some other weird looking things, but can't really tell much from those photos. Do you have a flatbed scanner? If you plan to solder back the loose caps, measure them first for shorts.

Doubt that 1 missing cap will make the card not work. Right TMU has some funny looking pins, maybe check that. Edit: C193 sits sideways.

Looks weird indeed, like it's missing 1 leg. Maybe it's a diode and doesn't need the third leg. @Meatball do you have an oscilloscope? If the card doesn't throw any errors it's probably mostly OK. I had a card with the exact behaviour as yours, it was missing hsync or vsync, don't recall which one. …

Regarding 1, I fixed around 20-30 V2 cards. Most of them had bad solder joints on the FBI/TMUs. For some reason the solder on these cards (regardless of the brand) has turned to mush. The failures I'm describeing are not due to mechanical damage.

Most likely some TMU/FBI pins are not soldered anymore. Poke them gently to see if they move and resolder them if needed.

Well, if you somehow manage to solder it, then yes. I don't really see how, since the thing melts while you solder. You could just use a copper wire, diameter doesn't matter.

Safest would be to replace the inductor with a piece of wire until you get a proper replacement. A noisy rail won't damage anything in this case, but a missing one can, in time, damage something. The inductor you linked seems fine.
