I think that dump is wrong. Since you know uniflash, you should use it to dump your bios instead ^^ In the meantime, what's your motherboard ? Why do you want to bypass the cpuid check ? Well it seems that it was the ps/2 data signal, the rise time was slow and it caused the other drivers not to work properly, it seems that in the factory they added a diode between the data signal and 5 V which made the rise time slower. This is interesting. Did this fix the hang in Windows 3.11 …

Dump Bios, modify and write back

I have a bios dump made by NSSI which size is 64KB. If i edit the rom and write it back with Uniflash, will it work (assuming the change in the rom is ok) or will en error or something happen? What i want to do is bypass the cpuid check in the bios of a socket 7 motherboard.
