Looks like the ATI X1800 demos don't work on my Nvidia hardware. They fail on loading shaders or something. It runs fine on the AMD RX 500 series though. Also Design Garage hasn't run, probably the drivers don't support Optix Ray Tracing anymore, neither did I ever use it.

I have not been able to run the Geforce 400 demo "Design Garage". It crashes during the loading procedure. I am using a Nvidia GTX 1050Ti GPU, what should I do to run it?

I don't know if it matters, but I played Speed Busters on Win98 when it first came out and I definitely wasn't using DirectX 9. I had DX 6 or 7. I was also using a Riva TNT with a much older driver. I'm thinking about downgrading my CPU and GPU 1 (keeping the Voodoo2) just to play Windows games …

You're not going to run those old .386/.VXD device drivers and DOS TSRs on "new platforms". Sound card faking attempts were done with VDMSound and SoundFX2000 to a limited buggy degree in the early 00s prior to DOSBox obseleting NTVDM workarounds, and as DOS16 NTVDM's pretty much dead for at least …
