An online store had illuminated case badges for 0,99€, so I got one when I needed to order fans. I'm pretty pleased with this thing.

It appears that the chips had markings. Then they put two horizontal bars over those. Like the counterfeits production was forced to unmark their chips in court, or whatever. And, even without any lense distortion, those lines are at an angle, not parallel, from chip to chip. IIRC those horizontal …

Don't open it. This needs to be preserved new in box. I especially enjoy the markings on the chips.

I remember using a Creative DTT3500 5.1 system with a Sound Blaster Live 5.1 back in the day. I had no problem locating opponents in games that properly supported EAX.

Yeah, I checked the GF3 and it turns out that cooler won't come off without killing the chip. They used epoxy or something. I'll clean the card and leave it as is. I also found the original invoice for the card in the bottom of the box all this stuff came in: it was 999,- Deutsche Mark.

Someone replaced the cooler on the GF3 with a massive Socket 370 copper cooler they glued on. That thing is really heavy.

He just gave me all this stuff because I wanted to buy the case. So I feel like I bought all of it. I'm currently taking the case apart for cleaning and damn that thing is well made. Really thick walls and brass connections.

I'm pretty sure that was David Murray's Apple 1. He has a video on his 8-Bit Guy channel where he assembled it and he also appeared in LGR's video.

This thing arrived this week, brand new Asus / Elan Vital T-5AB. A great seller offered these for a few bucks and I am very happy to have found it. It was made in 2000. I'm still not sure about the system it will house.

That Twinhead TH1287 should just be a Dallas DS1287 compatible part. Variants of these chips are still produced today. So if you put in a socket, you could also buy a brand new chip. I've done both and just buying a new one is way easier than opening up the old ones.
