My config.sys is blank. My autoexec.bat reads this "SET BLASTER =A220 I5 D1 T4". Also, I went back into setupds.exe, and I was only able to get soundblaster 8bit sound, missing both 16bit and fm sound.

Well, I checked my PCG-XG29 which is a Pentium III with the same YMF-744 chip and I have it being initialized in DOS before it boots to Windows 98SE. The 2019 VXD drivers are installed in Windows. That's interesting they used a totally different sound chip for what I thought was only a minor revision. I would imagine that trying out the C1VN wouldn't hurt as it is indeed the same sound chip.

Hey Joseph, I could not access the drivers from the second link you posted. Also, cyclone have you had any trouble with phil's drivers before? Do you use any other ones for your ymf cards? I should also say that my chipset is 440mx if that makes a difference.
