My limiting factor is cases and power supplies. I have 3 PSU + Case combos so that I can only ever have 3 built PCs at once. I don't need to be drowning in assembled PCs that don't get used! I only have 2 going at the moment mostly because my monitor only has two inputs. I have quite a few PC's …

A Retro computer should be looked at like an Arcade machine. It is for playing old DOS games and listening to music on old Sound cards. It’s just a piece of Nostalgia. You should NOT use it like an everyday computer to store your critical data on or surf the internet. I'd agree that one shouldn't …

gunman chronicles, I'd replayed half life (+OF and Blueshift) recently and as I had the CD for ages I thought it is worth a try. It's fun actually! weapons are very adjustable, maps are short enough not to have to backtrack, game mechanics work ok

My guess is games were a gateway to computing for many of us due to all the nonsense we had to do to get things working: creating boot disks, editing startup files, configuring jumpers, etc. It took building a retro PC for me to realize THAT was the fun part of DOS games for me LOL I like the idea …
