Try putting this floppy image on a floppy, and booting off it. it should just automatically make a bios.rom file.

As an addendum, the only sort of downside to this method I envision is Adaptec's ASPIDISK.SYS not telling you the drive letter of the drive it just mounted. I'll be looking for similar alternatives to ASPIDISK.SYS, but specifically avoiding the ones made for USB drives as I have tried those in the …

The drivers you listed are only ASPI managers, aka, the ones that I said that you need to use together with ASPIDISK.SYS to actually get USB mass storages found by the ASPI managers to show up as actual drives.

Indeed! The serial port header pinout was the problem. I got the ones that were paired with this motherboard when the white box pc manufacturer built it, and it works perfectly!

I have used this psu on another board and serial works fine. The issue is most likely the header wiring.

I only have one serial header and the closest available one for me to get, is the original that came with this board. But yeah it seems that different wiring for serial headers is common and I assume (and hope) that this is what is going on here. Again, thanks for giving me confidence!
