Does the imgmount command support either a environmental var, or a config option to have a common directory to store ISO images? I find it a pain to always have to type in the full path to ISO images. Forgive me if this was brought up elsewhere. I already do use batch files to automount for many of …

I actually have been using Google Chrome quite a bit lately. Since the betas added extensions, I can now do all the things I used to do in Firefox. The main things I like in Chrome are: * Speed! * Turn websites like Facebook into stand alone mini apps.

DOSBox is a perfectly fine name. Runs DOS in a BOX, works, and is easy to explain. I just do not see the need to change it.

I have you tried going into the OSX Keyboard Prefs and switching the F keys mode. Otherwise, you can use the Fn key modifier, if you prefer the Apples current default. Fn + F5 for example.

I'm not worried. MySQL is still open source. Whatever happens at Sun does not change the fact that MySQL is perfectly usable today. All of my databases are written using it, and I'm not going into any type of panic mode over todays news.

Sounds like your laptop is not scaling non-native resolutions. That is usually in your BIOS, hit DEL or F2 or whatever during boot, and look in the advanced options. Should be a setting for scaling. Or, if you want something that is easier to use, and is based on Wine check out CrossOver: http://www.codeweavers.com/ I use CrossOver to run quite a few old Windows games in Mac and Linux. Playing World of Warcraft in Linux is flawless.

We switched to it over at the Wine project. It works very well for us. It does take a bit to get used to as it is very different from CVS.

i never got it to work with my 5.1 setup though, alsa emu10k1 driver only allows 2 speakers. My Alsa Mixer shows volume sliders for L/R Surround, Center, and LFE. To me it looks like it can support it. I've never tested 5.1 under Linux myself. But, now I'm curious to see if Totem in Ubuntu can …
