Btw that heatsink in all likelyhood is live with the voltage you are looking to measure. That pic linked above looks like a single voltage motherboard. One fet? If so prob gonna need a cpu upgrade interposer.

I wouldn’t expect that to give most modern normal sized power supplies any issue. Why are you conserned? In general your power usage is proportional to the amount of heat you are generating. So how big are your heat sinks? 😉
