In this case, the machine is a pentium 1 120 so nothing too fast. (And hasn't changed since it was working.) There was no more information in the message, just protective error, please restart and same again if I do so. I'll attempt to remove some cards and let the proprietary pnp bios update.

You can use a usb floppy drive in windows 10 at least. (Not sure about 11 as I don't have it.)

I think I used some brute force to remove mine as well. I believe i just used a couple or Dupont wires and connected it to th secondary battery slot. I probably just taped the battery to the connectors. Not my proudest achievement.

I like that form factor. It is a little bit smarter than my prolinea where the floppy takes one of the 5.25 slots. That bulge above the 5.25 slots is so 90s! Magic of computing!

Removed a corroded väta battery from an ibm 760cd. Broke both speaker connectors so I had to fix that.. got my hands on some leaded solder and damn, now I can actually solder without much problem at all. Hopefully it is all working tomorrow.

Was to pick up an ibm 760cd laptop when o saw an interesting red sound card in a pile of network cards. Asked if I could have it without really looking at it. Now when I came home I realize this was a gravis ultra sound pnp. Is it any good? All my computers are in storage atm so I can't try it.
