Is there a way to make the X2GS use your presets on startup? I know that it boots up using the GS bank, but it seems that it also boots up using all the defaults effects/EQ/gain/swap settings. It seems that none of my presets are applied unless I run USERBANK.MID and then go back to the GS bank …

I just fired up Neverwinter Nights, with the new official 4GB HD texture upgrade. It really makes the game a lot more enjoyable, but the interface is still as kludgy as ever.

I'm pretty sure the Karaoke machines got more boards than the actual market for MIDI ever did. That being said, someone could make a tidy pile of $$$$ if they came across enough machines to be mined for a pile of daughterboards.

From what little is out there, Reuters had those made as part of their hardware offerings for their computer division, which sold hardware and services to global clients who used them for news/media/financial stuff. It is of no value to anyone other than a historical tech nut.

I'd love to see a DreamBlaster external USB audio box, with MIDI I/O and an internal Waveblaster header for the X2GS (or whatever) board. With PCI slots being gone from new boards, the only alternative for MIDI is external boxes and consolidation always makes things easier.
