The whole premise of GOG is that it's DRM-free. And I doubt if Steam uses DRM when it comes to DOSBox. My example was hardware DRM. Plus like I said, GPLv3 does allow DRM.

The main thing GPLv3 seem to have over GPLv2 is the anti-DRM stuff, and how relevant is that to DOSBox? There are sales of machines that are designed like arcade machines. Well, GPL sees itself as a whole philosophy. They spent more than a decade and a half on v3. As for benefits: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/rms-why-gplv3.html If the source code mentions "version 2 or later", then it can automatically move into 3 by changing it to "version 3 or later".

I found various discussions here that mentioned GPLv3, but not even one that mentioned it as a goal. Do you think you'll ever move to it or is it too late by now? Just curious.

I guess you should have searched first. I've merged both this and IPX inside Connectivity. I've also added lots of info, including a whole guide for non-IPX online connectivity.

IMHO the only way you should alter the path is with the "SET PATH=" command. Why? I forgot VLC doesn't use the OS' codecs, so I don't need to install the relevant codec. Therefore, I also checked it myself. It indeed works fine. BTW, why do you use PCM for sound instead of MP3?

Maybe you should convince YouTube to add "DOSBox Capture support" as well. It's pretty bad to do a "DOSBox=>AVI=>FLV" conversion (YouTube does the last part). Also, I really wrote this topic so people would actually check if it works...who wants to confirm?

When I said license, I meant the one they use under images (when you click them). If it was fair use by default, they wouldn't have bothered to display a license that basically begs to acknowledge said image as fair use (because it's something a court eventually decides, not the image's uploader).
