If that capacitor has gone bad then it's likely that all other similar capacitors on the GPU are bad or close to going bad too. Plan on recapping the entire GPU, but start with the blown one just in case it is the only one that went bad.

Apparently there is a way to attach a speaker to the gotek that makes it do that. Ha ha that's actually great Lemme know if you figure out how to do that, I don’t know details but people have done it. I don't have one, but now that I know about the fake floppy noises I'm considering buying one.
