Re: Lightweight browser for windows 2000

in Windows
Ok, solved I found this guide. Now I can navigate decently! https://github.com/rn10950/RetroZilla/issues/47 A curiosity, given that Retrozilla discreetly does its duty, and for what little I have to do, that's fine. I was wondering, is it possible to use Outlook 97 or Outlook 6, to download mail? If …

Re: Lightweight browser for windows 2000

I managed to connect my IBM 330, 200mhz with 160mb of ram to the internet via Wifi. I was wondering without extended kernel, is there a browser that allows me to surf the internet? Or; I found this project on the net: https://github.com/ttalvitie/browservice I don't know linux and I don't have it. …

Re: Lightweight browser for windows 2000

Retrozilla might work okay, if slowly. I would skip installing any of the extra add-ons, then go through the settings and turn off any extra features you can like spellcheck and smooth scrolling. I also like to change the icons to text and collapse as much of the menu bars as I can to save browsing …

Re: Windows NT 4.0 Workstation installation problem

in Windows
Look at the end, I have installed Windows 2000. WindowsNT is too complicated to install. I've wasted enough time. I thought I could fix the problems, but it doesn't work. The problem is that when I format in fat16, the program only recognizes me maximum 16MB, out of 32GB. I can't even partition the …

Windows NT 4.0 Workstation installation problem

in Windows
(PC IBM 330) I was curious to try NT for the first time. Pure curiosity. I used a 32GB CF but apparently NT refuses to install (I have tried various CFs from other brands, same problem). First attempt with error message. The installation cannot proceed as the following message appears: Cannot find …

Re: ATI RADEON 7000 64mb

in Windows
Actually, before putting it back in the box, I discovered that the only operating system that can use this card is Windows 95. The only problem is restarting Windows, in fact if I restart the PC it freezes on a black screen, forcing me to turn it off manually. BUT if you never reboot, Windows 95 …

Re: Windows 2000 abnormal behavior

It sounds very abnormal to me. Is there any chance you could reinstall without the floppy drive connected? I don't know any exact registry keys to check, but I think Windows may maintain a list of places to check when it needs files during device or driver installation, and I'm wondering if somehow …

Re: Windows 2000 abnormal behavior

Already tried. Keep looking for the floppy. The bios does not allow disabling the floppy drive. In any case I avoid, as I still use it. The device manager has nothing to do with BIOS. And the floppy device can easily be enabled/disabled on the fly. As just said, already tried. The bios was just …

Adapter installed. BUT same problem, I don't understand. On windows 10 it works here not .... Yet it is configured correctly. Note: d-link des 1005d Switch this time lights up, but with yellow light, not green. This means a connection of not 100 but 10Mbps. [IMG=https://i.postimg.cc/C508bjqG/photo- …

Windows 2000 abnormal behavior

in Windows
Finally I managed to install Windows 2000, so as to have more possibilities of using the software and hardware. I am using Windows 2000 SP4. I have noticed that windows tries to read the floppy very often for no reason. In fact, when I started installing programs, they crash or ask for the floppy …

With some luck you can try this driver (after adding line with PID: 772B) https://driverscollection.com/?file_cid=3945001787128d5bec93ba116d1 Just duplicate this line (inside AX8872.inf): %ax88772.DeviceDesc% = ax88772.Ndi,USB\VID_0B95&PID_7720 as %ax88772.DeviceDesc% = ax88772.Ndi,USB\VID_0B95&PID …

While I waited, some help. I found these drivers, specific for Win98SE, if in case they don't work, I can try the ones you recommended. https://us.driverscollection.com/?H=AX88772&By=ASIX&SS=Windows%2098%20SE Now the installation went smoothly. As you can see from the photo, everything is recognized …
