Just impulse bought a Picogus v2. Hopefully it works with PIII 700mhz, will also have to figure out how to run dos etc..

Forgot to mention a Voodoo 3 3000 AGP (as part of a parts not working pc) and coming soon a solo-1 pci to be used in my socket 939 Abit AV8 win98 build (athlon 64 3200+/fx5900xt or ti4200, haven't made mind up which card) as the ymf744 isnt playing nicely. Successfully imaged time pc backup/restore cd which uses Norton ghost. Was worried couldn't image it because of bit rot as it had always thrown errors when trying to image. Used alcohol 120% and saved as MDS then successfully burnt using raw+dao

Recently purchased ti4200 x8 64mb, quadro pro 2, new old stock arctic cooling silencer 3 for my fx5900xt (now pleasingly silent) and a cheap flower VGA fan cooler for the quadro pro 2 as I've broken the brittle fan trying to reoil it whilst taking it apart. Was able to source the exact flyer that was handed to us in the January sales of 2000, when we bought our first computer. Found it randomly on ebay and purchased it. This brings back memories, my first PC is listed as the 500-3D TimeMachineXL 17" 😁

Medieval: defense & conquest on Android whilst I'm abroad to pass the time. It's too hot outside. Just finished it, pretty fun game, raise cash to improve army and YOLO. Really enjoyed playing it, 8/10

Ide to SD card is a more stable and compatible solution I prefer to use. Get an SD card with decent specs and you can transfer files from modern pc very quickly. Sata for me always seems to corrupt or cause issues in the long run for the systems I've used for win98 even with promise fasttrack cards …

Don't do it. I've gone through many an LGA 775 build and have multiple board versions including the conroe865. The 440bx platform, although slower beats these in terms of compatability and most importantly stability for win 98. I'd veer away from dual booting and would dedicate a build to an o/s …

Also been playing Street fighter zero 3 and marvel Vs Street fighter on the Saturn every once on a while using saroo hd cart and two traces cut for the vcd on the Saturn PCB to remove issues for saroo cart. Use the odv via scart and VGA to crt

Recently Age of empires 640x480 and c&c red alert 640x400. Hits on another level on a Sun x7149A (diamondtron 2070sb rebadge) [colour calibrated i1 display pro and luminance corrected - green 77cd/m2 and white 115 cd/m2] with sound from a logitech z623.

Forgot to mention had Spyder 4 elite for calibration of Trinitron. Have a cheap used xrite 1i display pro coming in the post. Just really impressed with Sony foresight in being able to bring the Trinitron back to near perfect geometry and black levels and colours using digital software

Been on a crt binge. Sgi gdm-5411 and a pair of lg 776fm, which have surprisingly decent in built speakers with bass
