Is there any rust on the metallic parts? Remove the card and check the pins for connectivity with a multimeter or use a LED and the battery holder.

Hi Try a contact cleaner like W40 on the potentiometer. Spray the cleaner inside the volume and rotate it a few times, then let it dry out.

Problem solved! There's an option in SOUND16.CFG named FDAC_SRC with four possible options: OPL3/ASIO/MIX/SHARE. The default option is OPL3, so changing this to SHARE should fix the problem. Is there anyone who knows what the MIX option does? Can FM-Synth and Midi be used at the same time?

this may not be your problem, but why do you have C:\OPTI930\SNDINIT /b in your config? i have a 82c930 card and i think the dos drivers are different (nt drivers are combined if i remember). I helped my brother-in-law clean up his storage, and I asked him if he would sell his old horizontal beige case to me, which he agreed to. It has a UMC board with a 486 CPU and a Realtek ISA video card.

35% is quite strong, so you can get away with small amounts. It's hard to say how much, because it also depends on the amount of yellowing, the amount of uv light/sun and how long you want to wait for the process to complete. Did you check the jack itself? Clean the inside and check for broken solder joint. And if your card have onboard amp, also check for jumpers.
