CS4281 is not compatible with native Dos, no chances to make it works for SFX. And reason is not IRQ. In my Thinkpad, IRQ is 5 and it still doesn't make it work.

Try to use UniVBE 6.7, it helps to run Duke 3D on some laptops with resolution higher than 320x240 P120 can't be bottleneck in this case, cause even my mobile P120 gives me about 24fps at 640x480 resolution using NeoMagic 2093

is there any recommendation as to what brand to buy or sites most reliable to buy from? i forgot that i did in fact by a serial mouse from amazon, but it just didnt work at all. i would rather not risk that again. would it be best to purchase from ebay and not a random source on amazon? …

PCMCIA card PCJOY (for Dos/Windows), or PCJOY2 (for Windows) is good option, but hard to find one month ago one was sold for just $42 https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/k467361117 I have only PCJOY2 version
