It's just used to avoid any issues that occur if you just used a small convertor (screen misaligned, not scaled to fit, etc). I don't think it helps the actual smoothing at all. It's also useless …

Crazy idea, but this is windows 3.11 based if I can remember right? Why not install 3.11 under dosbox and try it from there? Takes some effort, but I'm sure it would work.

Only version 2 had the DOS interpretor. How strange. Usually they always include it. What did the final King's Quest Collection have? (the sierra one, not VUgames). EDIT - Nevermind, I figured it out. Very nice. The Planescape mod didn't work for me though, the menu was distorted and impossible to navigate. 🙁

Oh no, the problem isn't with fullscreen. That works nicely. It's just that with VPC I can play the game windowed. However I'm stuck with a window in the game's native resolution, instead of being able to stretch it myself. That fan mod looks pretty good, though I'm not so sure about the additions …

VirtualPC is great for running old windows games. Problem is I can't scale the window like with dosbox. Anyone know of any possible way to do it? Fallout plays in 640x480 and unless I play fullscreen it's very tiny.

I had a utility to fix just this problem. If only my brain would work and remind me of it's name. If I think of it I'll search for it on Google. 😉 (Of course this only edits Gamma, if your monitor is truly dark it won't help)

Oh for f..... Go into the dosbox.conf and find the lines - fullresolution= scaler= Output= Toy with those settings. If you set resolution to desktop resolution (like say, 1024x768 if thats what you use) then set Output to "ddraw" it will stretch. For anything else you might want to read the readme …

Abandonware sucks because someone didn't test the game before uploading? Thats like getting cold popcorn at a movie theatre and saying "This is why big screen movies suck".
