As mentioned previously, try booting a live linux distro (Linux Mint for example) with the monitor you want to use ~ monitor EDID values will be read in, and display should start at default 'native' resolution of monitor... ie; 1920x1080 or whatever. Looks like E-Switch R1966A series is a suitable switch (two terminals for switching purposes and two terminals for LED purposes, that you could hook up to Power LED on your motherboard) but they are rectangular. M'kay, can't use that switch for purpose intended ~ PS_ON is active low (switched to ground), so there's no current/voltage present to drive the LED. You can use a SPST switch with isolated LED (4pin switch) ...

That is 25% out of spec ~ it's done, replace it. Looking at things I believe that's base drive for the chopper transistor beside it, which may not have been turning fully on. This is probably not what went pop (although the transistor should be checked)....output transformer looks OK
