Re: DOSbox MIDI clock

I don't see any info on timesynched=true in the wiki. Is it a new function? Also is it 'timesynched' as you write or 'timesynced'? Please note the diferent spelling.. I cant seem to use UART as my program's drivers claim to not see an intererupt if i do.

DOSbox MIDI clock

I posted about this a little in general, but really belongs here. DOSbox sends MIDI pretty well from my sequencer, but if I turn on MIDI *clock* send, it can't deal with it at all. It sends out MIDI clock that drift all over the place and maybe even seems to change with notes being sent.. MIDI clock …

MIDI conf choices?

I'm having some issues with MIDi (detalied in another message) Is there documentation anywhere for the MOPU401 modes I can chose? none/uart/intellegent how about for the device choices: default/alsa/opensound/windows 32 bit/core audio?

Re: DOSbox - two MIDI bugs

im pretty sure its in intellgent mode. i dont know the differnce, but uart may not have worked when i tried it. so far as that new build: 1. hopefully it will be clear how i use it, 2 I didnt know it adressed any midi isssues - though it just added MIDI input. Will look now. thnx

DOSbox - two MIDI bugs

If I have a note that is held constantly and pitch bend messages are sent all thru the duration of the note, the bend messages seem to be corrupted. Also, in some cases solo notes overlapping will get stuck. I do notice that in both cases if I just send some 16th notes to nowhere, it alleviates the …

Re: so close!!!!!!! but a problem

No, the actual internal timing is wonderful! Rock solid. It's only the midi *clock* signal that it's sending (to allow me to clock another sequencer to it), that is all over the place. I'm guessing that DOSbox MIDI wasnt designed to send MIDI clock. Which is a real shame for me, cos I love it …

so close!!!!!!! but a problem

DOSbox works great to run my old sequencer in playback mode for live use.. BUT.. I just discoiverd that the MIDI *clock* it sends is very inconsistant. Any solution, or is this just a feature it'll never do?' I was so close to having this work perfectly . 🙁

Re: mulitple MIDI outputs?

I use these programs, but I dont see how they can do just what I'm asking. If i send dosbox midi to hardware MIDI I/F, its not being sent to Yoke. If I send to Yoke instead, then hardware doesnt see it. Another PROGRAM can see it, but the MIDI I/F can't..

mulitple MIDI outputs?

To set where DOSBOX MIDi s going, I select output in XP's control panel. I'd like it to go to *two* places, but I can only select one in XP. I want Dosbox MIDI to go to a USB midiport *AND* to a second place - the input of an XP music program.. Any way?

Re: crash

Is there some way to have my app run in a window in non overlay mode, but not be a tiny window on my large screeen? The app is from 640*480 days, and I run 1280*1024.

Re: crash

its one of the choices right above, and if I dont use it, the screen sizes are smaller.. is it not ok? I tried each one and that one looked the best. if I use none of those, my app sits in a a very small wndow in the middle of my rather large screeen.

Re: crash

Getting MUCH better. Now if I start my *app* in fullscreeen, it will crash when i switch away for that screen. If I start the app in a WINDOW, then alt enter to go to full screen, it seems to work most of the time. When I am FS and tab to another window and come back it has gone back to a window …

Re: crash

getiing closer: ok i eleminated Dfend, rebooted and installed DoSbox again. It does seem to work most of the time, runs my app and all (!), but I can always make it crash by switching to the status screen (which always runs in FULL screen mode for some reason) Once dosbox has crashed, it takes a …
