The Live! is not any better than Ensoniq cards in DOS because it uses Creative-modified versions of the Ensoniq DOS drivers anyways. I just wouldn't use a PCI card at all in an old games box unless I wanted it to run both DOS and early 3D games in Win9x. ISA sound cards have far fewer issues with …

Mount the CD drive and your games folder on your hard drive inside of DOSBox. Run the Sierra installer from the CD from inside of DOSBox and tell it to install the games of your choice to the mounted games folder. Once that's done you shouldn't need the CD any more. Are you sure the brand is Analog Devices? I think maybe they just made the DAC chip because I can't find any mention of sound cards on their web site. I bought an MT-32 and SC-88 from eBay for playing old games in DOSBox :p

Yeah small pliers work for jumpers that are stuck on, but usually there's a groove around the top of most half-decent jumpers that you can hook your fingernails into to get a good grip.

If you want to get technical (talking about specs and such), then it should probably just be like DOS and say something like "The system cannot find the path specified." and nothing else :p
