Re: mt32-to-gm Ready Sysex to use with midi-ox

That reminds me, you could probably use Midi-Ox and DOSBox to rip the sysex commands from later Sierra games that still support the MT-32 (e.g. Quest for Glory 3 maybe?). I've heard that they just map the MT-32 to something close to GM instead of using specially-optimized MT-32 music like their …

Re: wing commander armada

Maybe try using a frontend like D-Fend - it might be able to set up DOSBox for you with the proper settings for that game. Another possibility is to try running with an experimental but newer CVS version of DOSBox (see the development forum for more details).

Re: 16-bit dosbox?

There are public experimental CVS builds and patches that have advanced emulation of various SVGA chipsets, some with 16-bit color support. Check the DOSBox development forum.

Re: ROA2 = DSA2 grafiks error

What do "ROA2" and "DSA2" mean? Please don't abbreviate game names without first mentioning what the abbreviations are for. Even if someone knows what it is, there could be other games that have the same abbreviation (e.g. DF could be Dark Forces or Daggerfall)

Re: M.A.X. Can't get it to run

Yeah you can't really use Windows to rename some EXE files, especially if they're on your desktop. Sometimes you have to open a command prompt (or DOSBox) and kill explorer.exe and then rename it using DOS ren (rename) commands. Note that the renaming trick will only work if there's already a DOS4GW …
