It's in the graphical config utility I think. Only works in the DOS version of TIE Fighter (possibly only the CD-ROM version), not X-Wing as far as I know.

Probably an SDL issue. You could try poking around the forum for a link to a CVS build of DOSBox, which usually includes a newer build of SDL.dll as well.

I have the latest everything installed (it's a bit of an obsession). I noticed that the sound is fine for around 20 seconds and then choppy for around 5. It seems to happen no matter how low I set the cycles (of course it gets worse if I set them too high). It also doesn't seem to be related to …

I think the original jumped resolutions too if you ran the flight sim part at 640x480. I totally agree about the dynamic MIDI vs static Redook music though.

I've been running the latest DOSBox CVS, stock except for compiling in native Munt (MT-32 emulator) support. I tried testing Dark Forces (full version, original CD) with DOS/32A as a drop-in replacement for DOS4GW.EXE and the game seems to freeze up with a whole bunch of illegal read/write messages …

1. Why aren't you using the version of SDL that comes with DOSBox? 2. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card and sound card and motherboard installed as well.

Yeah, I thought about vsync afterwards and disabled it, although I haven't tested fullscreen since (I prefer not to run in fullscreen) EDIT: Also, any ideas on the sound issues, Moe?

It sounds to me like Moe has decided that it makes more sense to implement this at the SDL level and doesn't plan to continue developing it at the DOSBox level any more. You're right. I was using ATI Tray Tools to pick the shader, and it wasn't an OpenGL shader that I had selected. I was able to get it to visibly show that it was using a shader, but now it isn't setting the specified window size - weird. EDIT: I'm an idiot. I forgot that I needed to use output= …
