I remember it being fairly easy to do multi-volume ZIP archives (and even easier to do multi-volume RAR ones, which is probably why RAR is still around).

That is a pain, since modern machines have neither floppy drives nor serial/parallel ports. I keep my PIII-550 around mainly because I can plug in 5.25" and 3.5" floppy drives.

Silpheed was considered a good CMS game I think, and most Sierra SCI0 adventure games supported CMS. I think that Zeliard may have sounded decent on CMS. Most games that support CMS sound better on OPL and even better on MT-32, but it's fun to test out different technologies 😀

I think it's funny how everyone judges the entire series against Morrowind. It's good but it hasn't aged as well as some games. It's also much different from the first two games in the series, and much more similar to its sequels.

Maybe your controller can't properly handle drives over 4GB? Most drives can be jumpered or have overlay software installed that can make them more compatible with older controllers, although it may limit their capacity.

Someone should port Wine's 16-bit compatibility layer back to Windows x64. I've used Wine to install multiple 16-bit installer games under 64-bit Ubuntu.

I have a Corsair PSU in my newest desktop because I got a good deal on it from Newegg. Otherwise I've sworn them off as just a company that re-brands decent stuff and charges a premium for the Corsair brand name. I guess that's what most "brands" are, though.

I do remember getting a Geforce 2 MX for my birthday because a hardware T&L card was required in order to play Black & White. I don't think I really played it for long though.

I seem to remember Rebel Assault 2 stressing my 486DX4-120 pretty well, and it ran a lot better with a VLB card than an ISA one.
