Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hi jophran, Not being able to delete actual game files using DBGL has been a specific design-choice on my part, because it can be unclear what files exactly should then be removed. Some DOS(Box) games store files in multiple directories, or even in the C root folder. Also, some games can be run from …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Strange, DBGL seems to be trying to load the x64 (intel/amd) SWT version. Please make sure you're using https://dbgl.org/download/dbgl097-x86.dmg when using an Intel-based Mac, and https://dbgl.org/download/dbgl097-arm.dmg when using an M1 or M2-based Mac! Please try removing the existing '.swt' …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

The ARM version doesn't seem to work on MacOS Ventura 13.3. I tried to trash the settings file, the database, no success. Sorry to hear that mr_space, unfortunately I do not have access to an actual ARM Mac for testing, as it stands. I thought some Vogons user reported an earlier ARM version to be …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Where is the proper place to discuss this software for development? Support? Here? The site seems to indicate we should just email the dev? Here at Vogons is just fine, and so are DMs or email. Are there any source repos available? Like an actual repo with push/pull and versioning, not a code …

This (rather poorly documented) API seems a bit limited though, both in its features as in its speed. Also, it restricts the amount of requests per second, …

... reporting a crash when attempting to Select All screenshots/media before the thumbnails have all loaded. Using 0.97b1 ... another crash/hang when right-click game > Open Game Folder and game folder doesn't exist Should both be fixed in this new build (beta 3) . Note that multiple jars in the …

Re: Game launcher/commander like utility for DOS 6.22?

in DOS
For those of you using Access 3.01 (which uses text mode), you might be interested to hear I'm currently rewriting the application using Borland's Turbo C. I noticed that 3.01 fails to run on the Mister PC/XT core , AFAIK because of incompatibilities between Borland Turbo Basic and the XTIDE BIOS . …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hi everybody, Thanks for all the comments and bug-reports! And apologies for my absence, these last few weeks. After a regularly busy December, I decided to spend some time on a side-project (rewriting Access 3.01 in TurboC for MiSTer FPGA PC/XT ) which is mostly finished now. So I expect to return …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Strange issue, this. The mounts and program location are saved in the dosbox configuration file (profiles/8835.conf). It might help it you can create a file copy of a profile that is currently intact, update the profile (rendering it broken) and create a new file copy. This way, we can take a look …
