Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Thanks for the report Giorgos. I'm unable to reproduce the issue on my Debian installation, are you maybe using some kind of non-standard DBGL setup? Maybe you can try installing another gamepackachive and closely monitor the log output, it might provide some clues about what's going wrong.

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hi all, Got test build 0.81b ready with: * Added option in AddGameWizard to also create a unique mapper file for the new game (jjh76); * Pressing the [*] button next to the mapperfile field in the profile editing dialog will also use a unique mapperfile for the profile. It is even possible to use …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hi mgtroyas, You're welcome :) 1) Use the parameter -s:sizeInMB for the convertor, for example (for 32GB packages) convert.cmd C:\eXoDOS\ C:\DBGL\ -s:32768 But please keep in mind that dealing with packages of these sizes can be quite troublesome, and might lead to performance issues on various …

Re: Little Big Adventure 2 (Steam version)

... According to the DOSBox readme, the only valid types for "-t" are "floppy", "cdrom", and "hdd", so whoever made that .conf file definitely messed up more than once. I think that before '-t cdrom' came into play, '-t iso' was used in DOSBox to mount cdrom images. This is still supported in …

Re: Ancient DOS Games Webshow

Hi Kris, Enjoyed the episode, keep up the good work! I was just wondering though; could it be that the very high enemy respawn rate that you mention is somehow related to your max dosbox cycles setting? Did you experiment with the setting, maybe using a fixed 10000 setting for example?

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Thanks for the heads-up, Neville. A new test build is ready (0.81a): * Fixed broken profiles when multi-editing profiles and reloading a template; * Implemented basic support for Yesterplay80's DOSBox ECE . This means support for the latest integrated Munt configuration settings, Ant_222's …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hello, Could you please add more resolution to select in Fullscreen/Windowed mode menu? Definitely 1280x1024 is not enough on current displays if I don't want to use any scales. Hi Great Dragon, you can already add custom resolutions to the dropdown boxes in DBGL using the Preferences dialog (File …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

True, if you can provide a compelling reason why you would want this site added to DBGL, let me know ;-) Anyways, DBGL 0.81 is released and available on the website. Not a big release, mostly fixes. The only things changed in the final version are the apache commons libraries, Jersy and SWT. Thus, …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Because it seems that hotud.org is now terminally offline, I've removed support for searching hotud from this last DBGL test build (0.80g). Unless any serious problems pop up soon, this is going to be the next release. All the latest files To upgrade, grab the dbgl.jar as usual. regards, Ronald

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hi all, Just a quick note that test build 0.80f is ready with a small fix for setting 'fullresolution=desktop' (Jan-Peter). In some cases the 'fullresolution' dropdown in DBGL would not allow selection of the value 'desktop'. All the latest files To upgrade, grab the dbgl.jar as usual. regards, …

Re: Fellow members, tell a random fact about your country.

in Milliways
More than a quarter of my country is below sea level. In addition to that, 50% of its land lies less than one meter above sea level. The nation's main airport is actually 4.5 meters below sea level. Luckily, my country is not in a tsunami-prone part of the world. Then again, if ever the dikes would …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Thanks for the heads up, RetroFAN. Test build 0.80e is available with: * Fixed MobyGames profile reader for "Bong Bong" (no developer, no developer link in Credits section and no closing [add credits] link); * Fixed EOLN characters in Linux ./dbgl shell script (regression since 0.80c when I switched …
