Re: Roland sc-88vl advice

Hey, thanks for all the advice, I've had a look for adapters that should work with it, and found this one which I just want to confirm it should work with it. Yeah, looks fine. Pricey though! I'd probably look for something cheaper on eBay myself. Some examples: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ …

Re: roland sc-88 VL help

I'm still working on setting a 486 build up and waiting on a ISA card. I purchased a sc-88vl a couple of months back and I want to test it out but don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have tried a 98 and xp build both with midi sound ports but I think I'm doing something wrong I think maybe just …

Re: Roland sc-88vl advice

Playing MIDI files will depend on whether the file is GM/basic GS or not, and then the EM-10 would appear to have a somewhat limited SysEx compatibility. I …

Re: Strange MIDI synth behaviour

@Falcosoft Well it looks like the MT32 mode does not work at all as it just results in no sound at all. Oh well. There is a file Deadend.mid that I have that does not play correctly (random loud instruments are played around half way through the file) and it ID's as a GS compatible file. I think …
