My Cougar works fine in dosbox. Are you assigning your key inputs via the macro file (.tmm) in conjunction with the .tmj file?

Lots of stuff these days have headtracking support via a device called Track IR. It even lets you lean your body, tilt it, move up and down as well among 6 axes to truly immerse you in the software that supports it. We don't run DOS on a modern PC? We use older hardware from the era such as 286/386/486 and Pentium 1 boards. I might go as high as a P3 but that's about it and really overkill for a lot of things except being able to kill cache and run fast.

It came with Windows 3.1 drivers if that helps? I know 3.1 is DOS but what about pure dos without 3.1 installed?

I found one of these Music Quest PC Midi Card II's and I'm wondering if it is fully DOS compatible / MPU-401 so I can hook my MT-32 up to it without any issues? Anyone have one or know? Thanks. It has this weird little plastic thing that plugs onto the end of it btw.

I got the chaining worked, and also am able to run them both on my pure DOS PC through a SB AWE 32 midi port using a joystick splitter cable. With a patch on quest studios, I can play most old sierra games fine using the MT-32 on it. However, the SC-55 has one nagging problem with Clouds/Worlds of …

I can confirm the X-Fi has terrible backwards support. It can do wavetable... of sorts but, well, how can I say this... It is far worse than what the AWE 32 sounded like. It is anemic, at best. I can, however, load gigantic soundfonts (I think I fit a 200 mb one into memory) but even then, it didn't …

Thanks, guys! Ordered a split cable off the 'bay. As for an ISA interface card like a MPU-IPC-T or similar, what is a reasonable price to pay for one of these without going overboard? I see them sometimes listed for 200 bucks but that seems quite steep, eh?

Well, I've settled on muting the sc-55 when I want to play mt-32 games and turning the mt-32 volume down when I want to play sc-55 games. It isn't perfect but it works I guess. :( Maybe I need to look into a midi select box or something. Also, a true MPU-401 card that is ISA. How much should those …

So I just got my SC-55 in the mail! Woohooooo! One problem though, I can't figure out how to chain the devices so games use one but not the other. I have them wired correctly with the MT-32 as the first device connected directly to my PC through MIDI out, then I have audio outs routed to the SC-55 …

Well, I tried disabling L1/L2 cache in the bios and it really slowed things down! To normal, really. However, the joystick still craps out in the simulator...
