I've only used the shortcut for the "-noconsole" option, for the rest, I just click on DOSBox.exe.

I installed it on another drive and it's trying to access the "appdata" folder configuration file and crashed again.

I ran the normal DOSBox (Non D-Fend version) with no console and there is no status window.

Should I really try that? It even happens with DOSBox games from Steam and GOG. Do they all use the same dosbox.conf file?

I kept getting the "can't find fonts" error, so I tried to uninstall it but I got an error... And now I can't unisntall it properly? I wonder if I can just delete the files so I can install it again? Whatever I did with the application compatibility toolkit messed it up apparently...
