Re: Carmageddon Max Pack

Yeah, I ought to get around to that. I haven't had a lot of time to work on Glidos/Vdos32 lately, and probably the more pressing problem is getting VDos32 to support Carmageddon, so that it can run under Vista. Last time I looked at it, I managed to get it working as far as the first frame of the …

Re: Glidos Audio and Texture Packs in TombRaider

Surprisingly often people have problems like this, they delete the entire installation - tombraider and glidos - download everthing again, reinstall and all is well. Besides the texture packs, get everything from http://www.glidos.net, including the tombraider installation using the preconfigured …

Re: Tomb Raider Soundpack problem

That makes no sense. You must have a mixture of versions of things. I'd suggest download everything again and reinstall, making sure you follow only the links from www.glidos.net. Oh, one other thing: you must start the game using the Glidos button, not by double-clicking TOMB.EXE.

Wont get a chance until Sun evening. I was close to getting VDos32 to support Carmageddon; I'm hoping …

Re: redguard soundtrack

Sorry, don't know what that one is. I have some memory of there being a setting within Redguard for whether to interlace the movies or not. If so, you could try playing with that. Also might be worth seeing if changing Glidos between DirectX and OpenGL makes a difference.

Re: Glidos VS Linux

There's really no reason to use Blood with GliDOS. Your not really going to get anything out of it by doing so. Just run it in DOSBox as it should be run. Actually there is a slight advantage to using Glidos for Blood. The Blood 3dfx port is very odd in that it generates lots of one pixel wide …
