Re: Time Commando & Star Wars Episode I Racer

in Windows
Before I reinitialized the PC, I already had DX9 and the games worked. But I had not SP1. I think I must have a restore point, but I don't know how to reach it... And I reinstalled the games, after I reinstalled XP and after I updated with SP1. (The two games did work BEFORE I had to reinitialize …

Time Commando & Star Wars Episode I Racer

in Windows
Hi, Recently, I had to reinitialize my computer. Before I did this, the games Time Commando and Star Wars Episode I Racer used to run on my PC, without any problems. Now, TC crashes just before getting in the menu, giving an error message. Asfor SW EI R, when it comes to the menu, I have sound... …

Re: Rayman 1

in DOS
Well, I checked : I'm the administrator. I also tried to modify the registry but it has no effect... I'm seriously considering to get the Playstation disc and emulate it...

Re: Rayman 1

in DOS
No, this is the only dos program where this probleme occurs. And I'm the only one user on my computer, so I must be the administrator... I have a french version of XP. I'll check the database and try to edit the registry... I'll report here next.

Re: Rayman 1

in DOS
I just configured the game with no sound card, but I still have the same error window as described before... I really don't understand why it can work on your XP while it can't on mine... I mean : it is meant to be the same, isn't it ???

Re: Rayman 1

in DOS
I downloaded SP1 and all XP uptades, but I still can't manage to run Rayman 1 under XP... (I still have the MS-DOS 16 bits sub-system error) I'm going bersek with it... Why can you make it run under XP and me not ????

Re: Rayman 1

in DOS
For reasons I can't explain I can get Rayman 1 to run on my Windows XP system. Microsoft was strangly nice enough to mail me a DVD-ROM with SP1a on it which I installed. Before the installing SP1a, Rayman 1 ran so fast it was unplayable. After installing SP1a and all recomended Windows XP updates …

Re: Rayman 1

in DOS
Well, I see only three ways out for now : - Either there's a Win32 patch to make Rayman run under XP. Maybe it does exist. If anyone knows anything about this, I'd be glad to be informed... Thanks ! 😀 - Either I try with Dosbox. - Either I create a dual boot, but I'm afraid of it...

Re: Rayman 1

in DOS
Er, yes, well... but what am I supposed to do ?... I found it weird that there's no windows version of the game. The compilation I have is called "Rayman Collector" and regroups the original game, the Fan levels, 60 more levels made by the creators and a level-editor. But even if the interface is …

Rayman 1

in DOS
Hello everybody, I bought Rayman 2 and 3 months ago, and I just found Rayman 1, but I can't make it run under XP. When I lauch the game, here's what I get (in french) : " Sous-système MS-DOS 16 bits D:\Jeux\Rayman\Rayman\Rayman.exe X#=OD, CS=00C7 IP=00002018. Le processeur NTVDM a rencontré une …

Re: Blood (again, I know)

Sorry for being so long to answer but the dvd drive crashed on my computer... Anyway... 1. About the dual boot XP/98, Win XP was already installed on my computer when I bought it. And a friend told me the same as you, that it's especially difficult to creature a dual boot in that case... 2. I did …

Re: Blood (again, I know)

Like I said before, it's one of the reasons I set up a dual-boot system with Win98. Hum... I should do the same. Ok, you lost me there... How can it play with terrible sound if it crashes at the first screen with sound? Oops ! I hear terrible sound by testing it in the setup executable. But when I …

Re: Blood (again, I know)

Well, even by decreasing sound quality to the lowest level, sound is a little better but it's still horrible. Moreover, the game runs without sound, but crashes at the first screen with sound... Hum, I wonder if I'm not going to wait for a *final* WinBlood to play again to Blood...

Re: Re: Re: Re: Blood (again, I know)

The point is that you said and I wanted to make sure that there wasn't a problem with your VDMSound installation first. If it played the sound effects and music from Ms.Pac-Em then it's good to go. So there are two things to consider: 1) Are you matching up the sound settings in BLOOD with those of …

Re: Re: Blood (again, I know)

Try running VDMSound with MsPacEm from here It should autoconfigure and run with VDMSound easily. Does it? Well, I have high hopes for the WinBlood project, but I've noticed it's gotten rather quiet lately. Yes, VDMS worked with MsPacEm. But what am I supposed to do with it now ? As for WinBlood, …

Blood (again, I know)

Hello guys ! I checked the different subjects to know how to make run Blood under XP. So, I managed to have a 800x600 resolution with NOLFB. But sound is still a problem : even if I lauch the setup.exe with VDMS, it does not "recognize" any sound support and when I try to put any sound card, the …

Re: Duke3D for win32

I installed the program and it works great ! Hum... I have a silly question... Is it possible in the game to make Duke look up and down with the mouse, like in Half-Life ? Cause I only managed to make him look left and right with the mouse... 🙁
