Could you elaborate a bit what the HardSID does differently compared to the DuoSID to accomplish better compatibility to timing critical C64 replay routines? I don't see the gain. With Duke3D: Using Q87 I get 11 fps in the first scene and without 13 dps. So loading Q87 is actually slower than the integrated FPU Emu. (Also when I install Q87 to Win95 is locks up on boot)

WB Caching area is limited by the Tag RAM and not by the Cache RAM. On a 486DX2-66 WB is actually a tiny bit slower than WT as WB adds another cycle on write. On newer systems this is better buffered and due to the higher clock speed ratio between RAM and Cache WB gains the lead.
