I think putting 4CLOCK.COM in bottom-left edge and shifting PROMPT string slightly to the right can do trick. But only current PROMPT would be animated by this way. For some DOOM engine based games there is native TCP/IP "drivers" - tcpsetup, idoom, ifrag. Kali service seems to be defunct now, but software itself works without master server - one person acts as server, all other connects to him.

Performance is still enough for simple internet services like email (via email software), ICQ, IRC, FTP. Even some web pages and forums can be accessed. What about DOS games? By performance level it matches to generic Intel DX4-100/120 based system with some trivial middle-class VLB/PCI videocard. …

Interesting, heh... 😉 Tried MSN 1.0 on initial Windows 95 (non OSR) - all ok! MSN plugin in Miranda 0.8 won't work no matter what account type used - secured or not. On the other hand ICQ still works too in Miranda builds up to 0.10 branch on that system.
