I don't think you can just mount an AT motherboard in an ATX case. ATX motherboards have screw in offsets that you screw the ATX motherboard down to. An AT motherboard has those plastic offset thingies that you have to fit in the keyhole shaped slots then slide over to lock in place. An ATX case …

Having said that, only the 386 and maybe my voodoo5 box seem to be affected by this cable. A gf2 gts system on the suspect cable seems fine. Different signal strengths maybe?
