Seems like a common GPF (General Protection Fault) to me. Nothing to do with SoundBlaster IRQ.

Regarding HunterZ suggestions... If sound works in other games using DOSBox, try editting dosbox.conf and check IRQ settings from SoundBlaster. You could also try a different sound card like GUS (Gravis UltraSound).

You need to mount both the floppy drive and the hard-disk. mount a a:\ -t floppy mount c c:\ READ THE README.

1.7Ghz Celeron may be too slow for running it at acceptable speed. What hardware specs. do you have?

I remember to have tried a cd-rip version some time ago (probably from Underdogs) and it worked under Windows XP. Try different sound settings. You should start without sound...
