I can tell you what. Many AMD 5x86 can do 160MHz. That's a common knowledge. Maybe 1 out of 20 can do 180MHz (3x60). Only 1 out of 100 can do 200MHz with air cooling and a voltage increase. Must have a lot of luck.

Is this a question, or are you going to document comparing them? But of course the AMD is faster, because it runs at a 33% higher clock rate and has the same features like 16 KB WB L1 cache etc.

Have you actually checked the AMD box, it says Overdrive socket NOT needed, so it does not have the extra pin, it works like an Intel ODPR.. Whatever the source of incompatibility is, it's not the extra pin.

I have an AMD 5x86 with 32mb of ram and a CF card for hard-drive. PCI video card 4mb. It is running Win95b and it SUCKS ! It performs okay but will NOT play back MP3’s very well. A little choppy. I definitely would NOT put Win98 on it.
